Our first representative games took place in 1896 when a Southern Cross team made a 370-kilometre journey by train to play Fremantle Wanderers and a Perth Combined XI.

In the intervening 125-plus years, West Australia has figured in over 500 senior ‘A’ fixtures against club teams and national sides from around the globe.
