Celebrating Western Australia's Football Heritage

Maccabean to Murdoch University Melville

The State League (Men) club profiles provide a broad history of every club to play Saturday league football since the first organised games of 1896.

Saturday league football has gone by several names over the years. For ease of understanding, the top flight is referred to as Division One, the second tier as Division Two and so forth.

Where a club played in Sunday or junior leagues prior to or subsequent to their time in the Saturday leagues, it is noted under ‘Events’.
